How to reach : Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre or VECC is located at Salt Lake City also known as Bidhan Nagar, which is northeastern part of Kolkata. Air : International as well as domestic flights land at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport which is about 14 kms from VECC. Pre-paid taxis are available at the airport. The pre-paid taxi booth is located near the exit of the airport lounge. Taxi Route : Airport - Ultadanga - Salt Lake (14 kms & high traffic) OR Airport - Newtown - Salt Lake (18 kms but low traffic). Taxi Fare : INR 200 - 300. Train : VECC is 10 kms and 8 kms away from Howrah and Sealdah railway station respectively. Both pre-paid taxi and metered taxi are available at the railway stations. Besides taxis, bus services are also available from two railway stations. Bus : From Howrah Stn. 215A, 71, Howrah-JapaniGate, Howrah-Tikiapara minibus.
