Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre (VECC) is in the north-eastern part of the city Kolkata (erstwhile Calcutta) and is located in Sector-I, Block AF of Saltlake (also called Bidhannagar).

Air:

Kolkata is well connected by air. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International airport (CCU) is destination for many national and international flights. Pre-paid taxis are available at airport to travel to VECC at Saltlake. The par-paid taxi booth is located near the exit of the airport lounge.

Land Mark: C.A.P. camp (near tank no. 5). 

Taxi-route: Airport-to-Ultadanga-to-Saltlake OR Airport-to-Newtown-to-Saltlake (Fare : INR 200-250)

Train:

Howrah and Sealdah railway stations are well connected to different cities of India. Taxis are available at Howrah/Sealdah station to travel to VECC at Saltlake. 

Land Mark: C.A.P. camp (near tank no. 5). 

Taxi-route: Howrah/Sealdah-to-(via)Ultadanga-Saltlake. (Fare : INR 150-200)

Bus:

From Howarh station 215A, 71, L38B, S-18, Howrah-Japani Gate minibuses are avialble.

Bus stop: CAP camp (near tank no. 5) or Baisakhi. VECC is about 5 minutes walk from CAP camp and about 10 minutes walk from Baisakhi.
